Check out the Market Common Area

Market Common is the upscale shopping and live/work community located on the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.  It has quickly become one of the most desired areas to live along the Grand Strand.  New homes comprise most of the real estate selling in the Market Common area.  There are several different single family and townhome communities located there.  There are also a few older developments that were already located on the Air Force Base before the Market Common area was developed.  The former airbase house is now called Seagate Village, and the townhouse community of Windsor Gate is conveniently located between Horry Georgetown Technical College and the city Bark Park.

Market Common shops and restaurants offer some of the most popular names along the Grand Strand, such as Travinia, PF Changs, Gordon Biersch, Nacho Hippo, Cold Stone Creamery, and California Pizza.  Well known retailers such as Williams Sonoma, Barnes and Noble, Chico’s, Soma’s, White House/Black Market are featured at Market Common along with unique locally owned shops, salons and boutiques.   Baseball fields, soccer fields, the Bark Park, a children’s playground and wide open walking spaces are also featured in the Market Common area.  There is literally something for everyone here.

Some of the single family communities featured in Market Common are Emmens Preserve by Lennar Homes, Highlands at Withers Preserve by DR Horton, The Reserve by Beazer Homes, Sweetgrass Square by Dock Street, and the 55+ community of Cresswind.  The real estate market in Myrtle Beach is hot, and the Market Common area is one of the leading sales areas along the entire Grand Strand.
